During an official visit to Croatia, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte emphasized the importance of increased investment in defense, which is already driving the reopening of factories and the construction of new production capacities across the North Atlantic Alliance. In this context, the Croatian defense industry was highlighted as a positive example.

As part of the visit, a meeting was held at the National and University Library in Zagreb with the aim of presenting the activities of the Croatian defense industry as an important segment of the national economy to the NATO Secretary General. On this occasion, Rutte met with representatives of leading manufacturers of military and security infrastructure and equipment.

During the meeting, Denis Nikola Kulišić, CEO of OIV, presented the company’s operations and capabilities, highlighting its strong knowledge base and expertise.

It was emphasized that OIV manages significant electronic and communications infrastructure, employs highly educated engineers and technicians, and possesses capabilities for the development, integration, and maintenance of military and dual-use electronic systems. The company’s readiness to further develop these capabilities in cooperation with international partners, such as Thales, was also highlighted.

At the same time, he recalled OIV’s long-standing partnership with the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Croatia since the 1990s, including the period of the Homeland War, as well as its continuous participation in numerous projects and tasks for the needs of the Ministry, through which OIV has made a lasting contribution to the development and strengthening of the country’s defense capabilities.
