OIV

OIV is participating in the European project HERIT ADAPT, which aims to strengthen the resilience of cultural and natural heritage against climate change and promote sustainable tourism in Mediterranean regions. As part of the project, OIV has partnered with the Dubrovnik Development Agency (DURA d.o.o.) to implement an IoT system for monitoring microclimate conditions in the Rector’s Palace in Dubrovnik.

Co-funded by the Interreg Euro-MED 2021–2027 programme, HERIT ADAPT brings together partners from several European countries to develop data driven solutions for managing climate related risks and tourism pressure. The model will be tested across eight pilot Euro-MED regions, including UNESCO sites and lesser-known heritage locations.

The Rector’s Palace, one of Dubrovnik’s most important cultural landmarks, will serve as one of the pilot sites. Once the seat of government in the Republic of Ragusa, it is today a key monument of Gothic-Renaissance architecture and a major cultural attraction.

Through its OIV Smartino IoT platform, OIV will implement a system for continuous monitoring of microclimatic parameters, enabling better preservation of the site and timely response to environmental changes.

By participating in the project, OIV further demonstrates its expertise in advanced IoT solutions and its contribution to smart, sustainable infrastructure for heritage protection.
